About Burnversus Septic and How Referrals Work
What Burnversus Septic Is
Burnversus Septic is a referral service. We help homeowners in San Diego and the San Diego area reach independent septic and sewer providers. That is the whole job.
Why This Site Exists
Most people never think about their septic tank or sewer line until something goes wrong. Then the questions pile up. Is this normal? Is it urgent? Who do I call? We built this site to answer those in plain words, and to clear up myths along the way.
How Matching Works
You call or send a request. You tell us what you are seeing: a slow drain, a gurgling toilet, a wet patch in the yard, a smell. We then connect you with a provider in our network that handles that kind of work in your area.
Provider availability varies. Request a callback to check who can respond near you. Many providers can respond quickly, but we cannot promise a timeline.
What We Expect From Providers
Providers in our network are independent businesses. We ask them to:
- Explain the problem in plain language.
- Give a written quote before work begins.
- Answer questions without pressure.
- Be upfront about what they find.
You should still confirm licensing and insurance directly with any provider. That is a fair question, and a good provider expects it.
What We Do Not Do
Myth, meet reality: a referral service is not a repair company. Burnversus Septic does not pump tanks, fix pipes, or send out workers of its own. The provider you speak with does the work, sets the price and stands behind it.
We also do not decide what your insurance covers. Some policies may cover sudden damage, so check your policy. Providers can often help document damage for a claim.
How the Service Is Funded
Homeowners do not pay Burnversus Septic to be connected. Providers in our network may pay for the homeowner calls and requests they receive. That is how the site keeps running. It does not change what you pay a provider, and you are never obligated to hire anyone.
Start With One Question
If you are not sure what is wrong, that is fine. Start with one question: what did you notice first? Share that, and the provider can help you work out the next step.
Would you rather write it out? Request an estimate and describe the problem when you are ready.
